Problem :

I started by auditing the old website to understand where it was falling short, outdated design, confusing navigation, and inconsistent branding. From there, I mapped out a new structure, reorganising content to make it easier for users to find what they needed. Each page was redesigned with a modern visual language, updated UI elements, and consistent styling, and I tested the site across multiple devices to ensure it was responsive, readable, and user-friendly.

Solution :

The main challenge was that the old site didn’t reflect the Electronic Music Council's identity or support its community effectively. Navigation was clunky, the visual style was inconsistent, and users struggled to engage with content. My goal was to create a design that felt fresh and modern, while still being intuitive and accessible to a wide audience.

Challenge :

To tackle this, I focused on creating a clean, streamlined interface with clear navigation and mobile responsiveness. I established a consistent visual identity using updated typography, colours, and imagery, and reorganised content to improve clarity and accessibility. Simplifying layouts and optimising load times helped make the site feel faster, smoother, and easier to use overall.

Summary :

The redesign transformed the Electronic Music Council’s website into a modern, user-friendly platform that better reflects the organization’s identity. With improved usability, a cohesive visual style, and a smoother experience, the site now engages visitors more effectively and demonstrates the power of thoughtful UX and visual design in revitalising an outdated website.
