Logo & Branding for a freelance personal training business startup.

EOH Coaching
Year :
2022
Industry :
Fitness
Project Duration :
2 weeks

Problem :
Ethan had just finished his studies and was starting out as a personal trainer, looking to create his own online platform. He noticed that many fitness brands were using the same clichés and wanted a logo that was simple, clean, and free of stereotypical elements. His goal was a modern design that could stand out and be versatile enough to carry through future projects, like recipe books, fashion, and merchandise.

Solution :
To solve the brief for Ethan’s project, I focused on creating a design that was simple, modern, and flexible enough to grow with his brand. Since he wanted to avoid typical fitness clichés, I explored different typefaces, layouts, and visual hierarchies to give the logo personality without relying on icons or imagery. The solution was a clean, strong typographic identity that felt professional yet approachable, and could easily be adapted across future applications like merchandise, recipe books, or social media.

Challenge :
To develop Ethan’s brand, I experimented with a range of typefaces from online libraries and design references, exploring how different styles could convey strength, professionalism, and approachability. Designing for a personal trainer comes with challenges—fitness branding is often full of clichés like dumbbells or flexing silhouettes, making it tricky to create something unique.
For Ethan, the goal was to avoid these typical icons and focus on type. By testing different fonts, weights, and spacing, I aimed to craft a clean, modern identity that felt strong and personal, without relying on imagery he didn’t want.
